GRANNY GREEN TEETH

A fashion publishing zine project in partnership with Russ Gater of TSPTR

1. What does Homegrown mean to you?

Looking through a ‘Fashion Lens’, produce a 12-page zine based on the idea of ‘Homegrown’. It may be a PERZINE (personal zine) targeted at the zine consumer or a BRANDZINE and LOOKBOOK targeted at the TSPTR consumer.

2. Now What?

NARRATIVE & STORYTELLING is key to zine-making and publishing as it creates content, provides authenticity and relatabilty. As part of the brief you are required to select SOMETHING (a physical object) that is SIGNIFICANT in your life.

3. The Zine

Granny Green Teeth is a perzine about the life of my late step-grandma and her profound influence on me. It highlights her remarkable life and her pivotal role in shaping who I am today.

PROJECT SUMMARY

My zine is a tribute to my step-grandma, capturing her unique essence and the impact she has had on my life. Through personal anecdotes and photographs, the zine celebrates her presence, wisdom, and the special moments we've shared together. It's a loving exploration of the complexities of family bonds and the beauty found in unexpected connections.
